As the week's gone by, we've had more great feedback from people - families who stayed to see it twice because their children loved it, a grown up who felt very moved by the show, and lots of people enjoying the visual trickery and music. Here are a couple more stills from the show (thanks Andy!):
Great to see people enjoying the show last night, and to hear all the lovely comments and feedback. It was a long night but we made it - thanks to Mim, Lucy, Matilda, Mark, Christy, Anna, Pete and Clare. Take a look at what was going on behind the scenes here: http://youtu.be/stan9Os1gPE High and low tech stuff going on making the images for The Invitation. Learning to use Final Cut Pro and making twig fingers with the good ol' glue gun. The girls came up with favourite line of dialogue so far - "don't be a fun-sponge!" The lovely Mim King will be performing in The Invitation - and that's not the only White Night event she's involved with, as she's also working with Rachel Henson on Flickers in the Water. Highly recommended - after you've seen the Invitation of course... Some very small performers get to make it big in this show - I bought a box of live crickets to add some activity to a shelf-full of ingredients that I'm filming for one of the windows. I tried woodlice first, but really they were a bit shy. The crickets were great and were rewarded afterwards by being freed in the garden! Our next project is a short piece for the White Night event in Brighton on 29th October - we'll be at The Annexe in Belmont Street taking you into another world.... More info at http://www.whitenightnuitblanche.com/ There is some 'light rain' forecast for tonight - don't think that's enough to deter us..! It's a bit grey and a bit windy, but that's not putting us off. The show is on tonight - wrap up warm!! Thanks to Eventful Brighton for putting together this promo - Well - we've got here! We've got a cast, a crew, a story, and lots of amazing stuff to see. After weeks of dry weather, we're just watching the skies and hoping that the rain decides to come in June..... Nearly sold out over the weekend - a few tickets left for tonight and Monday night. | AuthorsRossy and Clare started playing imaginative games together when they were five years old and nothing much has changed!
